The best way to infuse your wardrobe with a breath of fresh inspiration is by paying attention to category versatility when you shop. If you're planning to splurge a little on a few things, make sure to buy a range of items. Don't just look in one category, such as tops. Instead, add a new piece to each section of your closet, and you will gain infinite new outfit options.
Zara can be a bit overwhelming, but there are some great treasures to be found. I'll make it easy for you and link out must-have items from my latest Zara haul. I've also provided some starter outfit ideas to get you inspired as these pieces can truly do it all, whether date-night, couch-late night, or office work day (hopefully soon?).
BUTTERY YELLOW, BUTTERY SOFT SWEATER
This sweater is the perfect toe-tip out of your comfort zone for all of you minimalists that avoid color. Juicier than cream but almost a neutral, butter yellow will refresh your wardrobe while pairing well with the rest of your closet neutrals.
I plan on pairing with these & Other Stories trousers for a polished look.
COMFY CLOUD BLUE SET
Everyone needs a comfy set these days, but why blend in by wearing the gray and beige that everyone else is sporting? This sky blue complements all skin tones and has a super flattering fit.
I plan to go full cozy and complete the look with these (affordable) Nike socks as well as classic Birkenstocks, my favorite shoe choice of late. Potato life, but make it fashion?
CHUNKY BLACK BOOTS
I am a big believer in chunky shoes. Maybe that's the New Yorker in me as a thick sole puts some extra distance between my feet and the mystery puddles that adorn the city sidewalks.
**The pair I got are sold out so I found you the above that are on sale, but Zara always has great boot options with special prices.
Pair grounded shoes with a feminine midi dress like this one from Who What Wear's affordable Target collection and wait for the complements to roll in.
BLUE JEANS WITH CHARACTER
Search no more for the perfect pair of ribcage denim! These hug your curves in all the right places, have the perfect distressing, AND won't break the bank.
Obviously you could wear these with anything, but for a full-retro spin I think it'd be fun to pair these vintage feeling wide legs with this minty silk top that's coming soon in House of Sunny's upcoming release.
SPLIT-FRONT BLACK LEGGINGS
The classic black legging but cooler. These unique bottoms are the perfect way to achieve comfort and edge in the same outfit.
Insta-stars all over are pairing these pants with oversized button-downs like this one from Anna Quan. (Hot tip: Your local Goodwill or thrift should have awesome menswear options without a hefty price-tag.)
SWEET AS A PEACH CARDIGAN
This is a cable-knit sorbet swirl dream with sparkly buttons! From winter to spring, I am imagining this cardigan with gingham print and distressed jeans for a preppy casual picnic look. If you're feeling extra girly tie a silk scarf in your hair and go full 1950s sweetheart.
I love these Etica jeans (get 20% off when you sign up for their newsletter) and this checked bag in Fendi's iconic baguette shape.
CHAIN STACK BRACELETS
Indulge your TikTok-loving heart and dip into the e-girl craze with these edgy stacked bracelets.
I dropped a pearl bracelet like this one from Rellery into my stack as well to add a little sweetness. (Hot tip: Rellery is running a sale for Valentine's Day!)
